| Profile Jivin’ Miss Daisy are one of our most popular swing bands and for a very good reason - they are fantastic. A lively 9-piece band made up of some of London’s best young jazz musicians and led by bassist Simon Thorpe, they recreate the swinging jazz sounds of the 30’s and 40’s in such a way you would think they had stepped out of a timewarp. The band are a big name on the London swing dance scene and they play regularly at the world famous 100 Club and Royal Festival Hall as well as busily promoting their debut album ‘Jivin’ Miss Daisy’ all over the country at dance events, jazz festivals and clubs. Several lineups are available in smaller bands, e.g. combinations of male/female vocal, trumpet, clarinet, trombone or sax and rhythm section, piano, guitar, bass and drums. This can be varied according to the venue and client's requirements, such as music for dancing or background for a meal.
